The National Lottery and Haircuts4Homeless community volunteer for a great cause!
#Haircuts4Homeless is the latest from Adam & Eve/DDB for the Camelot’s The National Lottery. It’s a TV spot that is a continuation of Camelot’s second instalment of their campaign ‘Amazing Starts Here’. As is evident from the name itself, Haircuts4Homeless focuses on the various good causes projects powered and funded by The National Lottery and its volunteers. This 60 second TV spot is about one such good cause where skilled hairdressers give more than just a haircut to the homeless so that they feel good about themselves. We feel that it also elevates a sense of pride and joy in the minds and hearts of the homeless community so that they can take on the world and other challenges with a new vigour and a sense of confidence.
Just to give you a background, the Haircuts4Homeless community group was conceived and put into action in 2014. It’s the brainchild of the expert hairdresser, Stewart Roberts who built this community of talented hairdressers to volunteer for giving more than a haircut (it’s a lifestyle and an attitude, we feel) to the community of homeless folks. Today, there are over 300 volunteers working hard as hairdressers around 45 places in the UK.
