Coca Cola – FIFA World Cup AR Experience to play alongside Xherdan Shaqiri
Coca-Cola wanted to celebrate its continued support of the FIFA World Cup 2018, with an Augmented Reality experience that gave football fans the chance to play alongside Switzerland star Xherdan Shaqiri.
A unique AR experience was created for Zurich Central Station, with a bespoke creative technology set-up. Footage of Shaqiri was taken in front of a green screen before being adapted to allow participants to play alongside him. Participants watched a show of skill from Shaqiri before he gestured to play a few shots against him. At the end of the experience, the user was prompted to take a photo, they could then enter their details to receive a copy of the photo and a chance to win a FIFA World Cup Official Match Ball.
Results:
Over 1000 interactions over two days, a week apart. Brand ambassadors were on hand to give out Coca-Cola.
