Dove: America the Beautiful | An emotional tribute to the ideal of equality
The tragic demise of George Floyd has changed America in various ways. It has amplified the uproar against systemic racism in the USA and has turned Black Lives Matter campaign into a global movement. Well, that’s not all! Global brands have also joined the fight for a fairer world. A recent digital ad by Dove is proof of that. Titled America the Beautiful, the campaign features highlights from various anti-racism protests.
Furthermore, Ogilvy Canada’s touch is easily visible in the campaign’s top-notch editing. The soundtrack also reaffirms the same. But, the most powerful aspect of the campaign lies outside its artistic merit. Instead, it manifests in Dove’s commitment (worth $5 million) to real change.
All in all, we admire Dove’s sincere attempt to combat systemic racism. Also, we’d love to see more brands do the same!
