YouTube Shorts | YouTube’s home-made Alternative for TikTok and Instagram Reels
Short-form content has been around for a while. And people have loved it since the very beginning. In the early days, Vine was the top platform for such content. Then, platforms like DubSmash and TikTok took over. Even currently, Instagram is banking on the demand for short-form content with Reels. Now, YouTube has also decided to hop on the bandwagon. In a rejoicing turn of events for short-form creators, YouTube recently announced the beta launch of YouTube Shorts.
As made obvious by the moniker, YouTube Shorts is a new addition to the platform that allows creators to express themselves in 20 seconds or less. It comes pre-loaded with features that some of the platform’s competitors also have. For instance, the ability to create content with background music is on the table. The same goes for a built-in countdown timer and the power to play around with playback speed.
The early beta has already begun rolling out in India and creators are ready to leverage its potential. We’re excited to see how everything pans out!
