If you started observing brand logos and symbols around you, you would realize how male characters dominate the marketing sphere. This was the prime reason why Creative Equals, an organization which focuses on gender representation and equality in media spheres, decided to commemorate women by changing some world-famous brand logos to their female counterpart versions. Creative Equals strongly support the agenda of representation which is clear in their Vision statement which says, “We believe creating diverse advertising and media starts with the teams who shape it. That’s why we’re here to drive lasting change”.

Ali Hanan, the CEO of Creative Equals, clarified that through their initiative they didn’t intend to bring down or malign any brand, rather they want to start a conversation about more women and more female representation in the creative industry. The changed logos do bring a fresh perspective to the brand image and compel one to think about how different and meaningful these logos look with a female image.
