Yuvraj Singh announces retirement – An Era Comes to an End
Yuvraj Singh had not been seen donning the Indian jersey since the year 2017. The world of international cricket felt his absence from the game, but never shut its door to the possibility of Yuvraj’s eventual return to cricketing glory. However, to the world’s surprise, Yuvraj Singh decided to own his glory in a different fashion. On June 10, 2019, Yuvraj Singh announces retirement from all forms of international cricket after an impressive 19-year career.
Yuvraj turned into a married man in the year 2016 and may have plans of starting a new family in the near future. As far as his old family is concerned, he will always be remembered as the formidable batsman who knocked the ball out of the boundary line for 6 six consecutive times. The perfect over for a batsman will always be referred to alongside Yuvraj Singh’s name in history books as well as sports magazines.
After an aggregate of 1,778 runs, 8701 ODI runs, 1900 Test-Match runs, 1117 T-20I runs, and 111 ODI wickets, Yuvraj Singh’s era has come to a close. However, his achievements will always stay with him, and his association with the game is one bound to last a lifetime.
We wish Yuvi luck for all his future endeavours and thank him for his contribution to elevating team India’s name in the world of Cricket.
