#HerVoiceIsMyVoice YouTube celebrates Women's Day

International Women’s day is a day dedicated to all the women around the globe. A day that spreads a message that if women unite, they can bring a change. And that women are not the weaker section of the society. This day is celebrated by many brands that reach out to women across the world and tell them that they are important, their opinion and security do matter.
Even if what is happening on the real ground says otherwise (take an example of banning the film ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha) but it’s good for the brands to play this card. And so it happened, the day began and everybody put up Facebook statuses, sent WhatsApp messages and uploaded ’empowering’ photos of Instagram.

YouTube, the famous website to stream videos, also uploaded a video for the all the women. The title of the video is #HerVoiceIsMyVoice. The video was a montage of all the famous female YouTubers and leaders. It was a touching video that really makes a person that women are on their way to empowered. It had video clips of Superwoman, Malala, Ellen and many other women who have achieved something for the womankind.

The video starts with a little girl giving out a great message that goes, “When we’re connected, it means that we all believe in each other. And I believe you can do whatever we want, whenever we want. So go do it.” The spot is filled with such beautiful messages. Another one of them is by a Muslim girl who says, “So many people around the world have a very negative idea of what Muslim women are like. It’s pretty simple. We’re awesome.”

It is a great example of using the emotional appeal as it really touches a chord. And at the end of the video, it urges to the viewer to share a video of their favourite women.

Women’s day is a reminder that women are powerful and no matter what the problems, women can go through it. There really can be a difference if all the women love each other and fight for each other.
