The Cleanest Font in the World - World Cleanup Day by Ecologists Without Borders

Futura DDB, Ecologists without Borders and several volunteers at Slovenia collected trash laying on the roads of the country, to arrange them into alphabets. These letters were captured in pictures, were vectorized and made available as digital font ‘The Cleanest Font in the World’ to be used by tech-savvy generation. Curious to know how it was done and why? So are we!

The Cleanest Font in the World - World Cleanup Day by Ecologists Without Borders

Every year, September 15 is celebrated as ‘World Cleanup Day’ by the people across the globe. However, on this occasion, the world has also received a unique gift – ‘The Cleanest Font in the World.’ Futura DDB, Ecologists without Borders and several volunteers worked together to create this quirky gift made out of trash. The message here is clear – Trash can be and must be recycled & reused, even in the form of calligraphy.

Garbage and littering irresponsibly is a global issue, and it needs attention from the world, especially the millennials. Futura DDB, Ecologists without Borders and other volunteers at Slovenia came together to create something that will keep reminding the millennials time and again about recycling the trash. As we expected it to be, ‘The Cleanest Font in the World’ will be published for free to the public.

COTW gives this campaign a loud hoot! Because, as of today there can be no better way to reach the millennials than the digital screens. Waste is a serious problem which many countries like Slovenia, India, and others are trying to address. This interesting take will definitely remind people of the importance of recycling and reusing waste.
