UN-Water - World Toilet Day 2018

On the occasion of World Toilet Day on 19th November, The People teamed up with UN-Water to raise awareness and donations through a creative campaign. The campaign’s aim was to shed light on the most important thing that is being neglected – toilets.

The People & UN-Water - World Toilet Day 2018

We think that lack of toilets is in fact the most unheeded human right, where so many people die due to easily curable diseases triggered by lack of toilets and the resulting increase activities like defecating in the open and in water-bodies causing the disease-causing germs to spread more and faster than ever. For example, every year, over 360,000 children die from preventable diseases caused by poor sanitation and lack of toilets. This campaign does a good deed by way of making people aware of the disasters of poor sanitation and what needs to be done.
