David Castellanos, is the new DDB Mexico´s Creative Vice President

Matías del Campo, DDB Mexico´s General Director, announces David Castellanos return to the country and to assume as Creative Vice President of the agency, after 5 years in the United States.

David began his career at Leo Burnett as an editor, then at JWT Mexico where he was appointed as Creative Director Associate and finally in 2011, he came to DDB Mexico as Regional Creative Director for Latin America. He moved to the United States with the conviction of being reborn in his profession. In 2014, he reached his goal and entered the general market of the United States by joining Made Movement in Boulder, along with Alex Bogusky and Dave Schiff, former executives of Crispin Porter + Bogusky.

In 2015, he was named as Associate Creative Director by Deutsch Los Angeles, where he worked for Jason Bagley, creator of the multi-award-winning “The man your man could smell like” campaign for Old Spice among others, and finally, David was named Creative Director at We Believers New York.

During his career, he has accumulated more than 130 international awards at the most prestigious festivals in the world. In addition to being a jury member at New York Festivals and The One Club, where he represented the US.

Castellanos has a postgraduate in History of Latin American Art in Harvard, another in Philosophy in the University of California, in addition to having studied Scriptural in the School of Santa Monica and marketing in the Tec of Monterrey.

“I have always wanted to return to my country and apply everything I learned these years at some of the best agencies in the world where I had the opportunity to work, and DDB represents the perfect stage to do it,” concluded David Castellanos.

Meanwhile, Matías del Campo, General Director of DDB Mx, also said “David’s arrival at the agency is a giant leap in the transformation that we are doing to become the reference of the agency of integral communication in the Mexican market, we are very excited for his arrival and ready to take the next step. ”
