Play Safe: Down to Test | Making Australia sexually healthier, one music festival at a time
In the form of a new initiative, Play Safe recently took a revolutionary step for the youth of Australia. Titled Down to Test, this campaign turned STI tests into a VIP experience. How did it accomplish that? Well, by offering free tests in VIP Chill-Zones at music festivals, Play Safe managed to conduct over 6000+ examinations. Moreover, this creative intervention sparked a sizable wave of media coverage. In turn, the public attitude towards STI testing became 99% more positive. Thus, Play Safe destigmatized conversations concerning STIs and popularised adequate medical aid. All in all, Down to Test schooled us in the art of public-interest campaigns. So, if you’re working on similar projects, feel free to use Down to Test as a yardstick.
