Traditional Virginity Test by M.A.L.I. Movement – Virginity not the pride of woman

Women are often termed as goddesses in many cultures of this world, but most of the time, these goddesses end up getting mistreated, judged, abused, harassed, and whatnot. The crimes against women have been increasing ever since, but some crimes are not even considered crimes. One Cuch crime is the “Traditional Virginity Test,” a heinous ritual performed in Morocco and middle eastern countries, and North Africa where a bloodstain is considered a test for women’s virginity and pride. M.A.L.I movement has chosen Valentine’s day or 14 th Feb, which is celebrated as the day of love worldwide, to shed light on this patriarchal crime of women women’s virginity testing.

On the marriage night, guests eagerly wait outside the couple’s room to see the bloodstain on their bedsheet to finally openly prove the virginity of the bride. Not leaving a bloodstain on the bedsheet can be life-threatening for the bride.
