Last call, print ad by National Park Rescue Protect the elephants from extinction.…

Last call, print ad by National Park Rescue

Protect the elephants from extinction. In the last 100 years, 93% of all elephants have been killed. Without the protection of national parks, at the current rate of killing, elephants will be extinct by 2030. To save the wild animals in Africa, we need to act now before the most well-known animals go extinct. Therefore we need National Park Rescue to protect them from poachers.

X3M Ideas: History has been selective on the outstanding achievements of African women. They are remembered for lesser achievements and not for the ones that position them at par with men. For International Women’s Day, we are making history equal for women.

e-Galaxia: Judgeable Covers Collection: The average American reads about four books a year,…

e-Galaxia: Judgeable Covers Collection:
The average American reads about four books a year, which is quite a small number – and one that’s even smaller in Brazil. But, as the literary market gets back on its feet (according to Nielsen Bookscan, sales in 2018 grew about 5% over the previous year), the new bookshelf stars are not the great classics, with timeless stories and unique narratives. The current Kindle Store best-sellers list is actually full of erotic romances with suggestive covers. They feature bare-chested, muscular men – and it seems to be working.

We were always told not to judge a book by its cover. But, as it seems, people are doing exactly that when it’s time to pick their next books. So ad agency Africa and publisher e-galaxia decided to use this to entice a reevaluation of people’s relationship with literature and get them to give classic books a chance.

They looked at dozens of best-sellers and analyzed their covers to find the most common features: strong male upper body, very defined muscles, usually no face in the frame, heavy font with a powerful, attention-grabbing word highlighted. Then, with this data collected, they set out to redesign the covers of classic works of literature – like The Picture of Dorian Gray, Robinson Crusoe and Moby Dick.

The Judgeable Covers Collection had a budget of virtually zero dollars. And, without changing a single word from the originals, the new editions stood out immensely from their books’ usual covers, appealing to a whole new demographic – and reaching the #1 spot as Amazon’s best-selling Romance in English.

Maybe it’s not for the purest of reasons, but by changing the covers of masterpieces to a more… marketable format, they have now become enticing to readers who would not have given them much consideration before. And, if this ended up landing a good book on the hands of someone who judged it by its cover, well, then e-galaxia’s work is done.

The world has come a long way in terms of technological advancement. Google…

The world has come a long way in terms of technological advancement. Google is one of the tech brands that has been at the center stage of such developments. In an ongoing campaign started by the technology giant, android developers from all over the globe are sharing their journeys. The whole initiative goes by Google #IMakeApps. Anybody can use the hashtag to talk about their dreams and stories as app developers. Meet some amazing people who create apps and games.

Here are some of the featured ones by Google #IMakeApps:-

Faith Ringgold
App developers are nothing short of artists. Well, in some cases, app developers are artists themselves. The same is the case of Faith Ringgold. She is an artist who was born and brought up in Harlem. Faith believes that art is something that lives inside everyone. She takes inspiration to be the most important thing in her life. In fact, all Faith tries to do with her art is to inspire people. Her work can be found in a number of art galleries and museums across the globe. She is also the creator of Quiltuduko. It is an android game based on Sudoku. Quiltuduko has 1000+ downloads on the Google Play Store. Faith Ringgold’s belief in inspiring others and being inspired herself lives in her app as well as her art.

Hans Jørgen Wiberg
Hans Jørgen Wiberg is courage personified. He is a Denmark-based man living with a visual illness that will eventually render him blind. However, Hans doesn’t let being visually impaired get in the way of his chair restoration business. He has been helping his wife run the business for over 20 years and has never once lost faith in his ability to make a difference. Not only does Hans make a significant contribution to his family’s chair upholstering business, but is the also the creator of Be My Eyes. It is an app that connects visually impaired people with sighted volunteers. It is beyond doubt that we need more people like Hans Jørgen Wiberg. The world is already a better place because of his endeavors.

Niek Bokkers
Life is nothing but a collection of experiences. Niek Bokkers is someone who understands that well. He is an adventurer who has over 150,000 kilometers under his belt. Niek’s approach to traveling is not a planned one. He sets out on his travels with a place in mind and figures everything else out along the way. According to him, that is where the true adventure lies. Looking back at his life, Niek wants to be able to say that he has lived a good one. Also, he is the creator of Polarsteps. It is an app that allows its users to keep a track of their travel expeditions. The app makes minimal battery usage and creates a detailed log of the user’s travels. Simply put, Niek is trying to live every moment to its fullest!

Manel Alcaide
This man from Spain is as humane as he is talented. Manel seeks refuge in circus arts. They offer him an escape from the chatter in his head. For Manel, practicing aerial skills on silks is the only time when his brain feels empty. Not only is he an amazing acrobat, but a visionary app developer as well. Manel Alcaide is the founder of an app called Visualfy. His app helps turn sound into sensory and visual cues. He is trying to bridge the communication gap that exists between deaf people and the ones who can hear. Manel believes that everybody on the planet is the same, and all of us, regardless of our physical differences, are only people. He is actively working towards a more inclusive world by working on Visualfy.

Gregory Veret
Gregory is an app developer who lives in Paris. The Frenchman is the creator of an android application called Xooloo. The app created by Gregory teaches healthy digital habits to children. It is a manifestation of Gregory’s vision for the world. Other than being an app developer based in France, Gregory Veret is also an organic farmer. He has his own farm outside of Paris that he visits 3 times a week. Gregory envisions a world where children have access to healthy food. His shared ideology for his entrepreneurial ventures as well as his organic farming business makes him stand apart. Gregory is a man truly working towards a better world!

Mother’s Day campaign that celebrates mothers and motherhood in a way that resonates…

Mother’s Day campaign that celebrates mothers and motherhood in a way that resonates with the African audience.

The Idea: “Secret Weapon”
Traditionally, African mothers play a key disciplinarian role in the family. It’s a role that they sometimes played with firm hands and, where stern looks and raised voices fail to deliver results, it wasn’t uncommon for harder measures to be employed.

They decided to whip up nostalgic emotions and trigger conversations around this role – especially as many grownups in African communities look back fondly on these corrective episodes with loving mothers. Each ad humorously profiles the common tools used during a mother and child squabble, and use them to remind ourselves about the love that came in form of discipline.

“Here’s to the mothers who made us – and the tough love that forged us.”

Posts of food are the most common on Instagram. Millions of people around…

Posts of food are the most common on Instagram. Millions of people around the world are always drooling over delicious photos of food. Heinz saw this as an opportunity and launched the campaign called ‘Heinz Irresistible Posts’ which became very popular in Brazil.

‘Now you don’t just like the post but also eat them.’ This was an interesting way to use geolocation to increase their popularity. By looking at the stories of local users, chef Santi Roig from Underdog Meat & Beer Restaurant made delicious burgers during lunch time for the Instagram followers. Taking this opportunity, Heinz used its packaging to deliver delicious food to people in the nooks and corners to make their brand more popular. It was a brilliant 2-hour advertising campaign launched by the ad agency Africa with the help of Facebook Creative Shop that became very popular in Brazil. With collaboration with local restaurants, it had some tremendous results.

Hence, the followers of Heinz in Brazil on Instagram were pleasantly surprised at lunch time by some irresistible and delicious food through #IrresistiblePosts.

They attempted to turn people’s cravings into reality so they can eat it with Heinz!
