When shoppers walk into an electronics store, television displays are expected to showcase…

When shoppers walk into an electronics store, television displays are expected to showcase vibrant landscapes, crystal-clear oceans and colourful nature scenes. WWF challenged that expectation with Fire on Display, an OOH campaign created by Nossa that transformed ordinary TV showrooms into a powerful reminder of Portugal’s recurring wildfire crisis.

Launched in Portugal during July 2026, the campaign partnered with Fnac and Darty to replace traditional demonstration footage on televisions across 52 stores with real images of some of the country’s largest wildfires from recent years. Instead of selling the beauty of nature, the screens revealed what can happen when that landscape is lost.

The creative idea is remarkably simple because it uses the medium itself as the message. Retail televisions are designed to impress customers with vivid colours, sharp contrast and exceptional picture quality. Fire on Display uses those same technical strengths to present devastating wildfire footage, creating an unexpected contrast that immediately changes the shopping experience.

Unlike many awareness campaigns that ask audiences to visit a dedicated exhibition or event, Fire on Display reaches people during an everyday retail visit. Customers comparing television models suddenly find themselves watching scenes that feel completely out of place in a showroom. That unexpected context gives the campaign its emotional impact without relying on complex technology or large physical installations.

Alongside the in-store experience, visitors were invited to make donations either in-store or online. According to WWF, the funds support reforestation projects while helping provide resources for wildfire prevention initiatives and firefighting teams, connecting awareness with a clear opportunity to take action.

The collaboration between WWF, Fnac and Darty also demonstrates how retail spaces can become meaningful communication channels for public interest campaigns. Rather than introducing additional advertising materials, the campaign repurposed an existing consumer touchpoint that millions of shoppers already engage with. The result feels integrated into the environment instead of interrupting it.

Visually, Fire on Display remains grounded in authenticity. Product specifications, pricing labels and promotional information stay visible alongside the wildfire footage, reinforcing that these are genuine retail displays rather than a staged exhibition. That subtle detail makes the experience feel more immediate while strengthening the campaign’s central idea.

For a campaign centred on environmental awareness, Fire on Display avoids overcomplicating its message. It simply replaces images people expect to admire with images they hope they never have to see again. By transforming television displays into a platform for conversation and fundraising, WWF reminds audiences that the most memorable screens are not always the ones showing perfect picture quality, but the ones showing why those landscapes are worth protecting.

On 17th June 2021 in St Petersburg on the territory of Sevkabel Port – the new urban space in the city where modern trends and technology are combined, the world’s first-ever sculpture that creates musical compositions aided by the wind and artificial intelligence for the Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University.

Radio LETI BIT is the first online radio station where the music is created by the sculpture itself, weather conditions, and complex neural network algorithms. The sculpture is modeled like a radio, from which 144 fine rods emerge, ranging in height from 4 – 5 meters and visually reminiscent of human DNA. When it’s windy the rods touch and create a sound.

Inside the monument is a computer with neural networks and piezoelectric transducers that measure the oscillation of the rods. Based on the range of oscillations artificial intelligence, just like a composer with a huge base of sounds at their disposal creates a musical composition which can be heard right on the spot by using the audio columns built into the structure itself or in any part of the world by tuning into the online radio station letibit.ru. The wind is such that just like the music, the variations are endless, and therefore it never repeats itself.

Atlanta is a city in the state of Georgia that experiences some of…

Atlanta is a city in the state of Georgia that experiences some of the worst traffic in the world. However, the traffic on the roads of Atlanta isn’t even comparable to the Child sex trafficking epidemic in the state. In a bid to tackle the issue head-on, attorney general Christopher M. Carr partnered with a non-profit organization called Street Grace to deliver a compelling campaign. The event called Stop Traffic was kicked off by a press conference hosted by the attorney general himself.

What followed the press conference was a caravan of 72 school buses that embarked on the roads of Atlanta with a powerful message about Child sex trafficking in the state of Georgia. The idea was conceptualized by the marketing firm BBDO Atlanta, and the message it delivered was simple. Each bus represented 50 kids that are subjected to sex trafficking in Georgia. The chain of 72 buses symbolized the estimated number of 3600 kids in the American state who are victimized by sex traffickers.

The aftermath of the campaign brought the topic that nobody wanted to talk to the front and centre of the public eye. The Facebook engagement for the campaign turned out to be enormous. #StopTraffick also became the trending topic on Twitter. Furthermore, the campaign amassed 43 million social media impressions within the brief timespan of 48 hours. Decals associated with the campaign were also inserted in different parts of Atlanta. They acted as portals that provided access to various online resources. The campaign’s website provided an avenue for reporting sex trafficking as well as access to help and support for victims.

#CleanMyCity is a series of urban cleanups initiated by CleanMyMac X. To promote their 2019 cleanup challenge, they created Junkman, the first hero made entirely out of junk. Can you scare people into being litter-conscious? they’ve been trying to figure out just that with their CleanMyCity prank inspired by CleanMyMac X. Whenever unsuspecting folks would drop a piece of litter onto the pile, the “junk” would suddenly rise and chase them back. This simple idea helped brand to get attention for their #CleanMyCity urban cleanups. Although CleanMyMac X is only a junk cleaner app, They believe that fighting junk should go beyond digital. And everyone can remove a bit of waste from this planet, whether it’s gigabytes or garbage bags.

APF France Handicap: France Accessible Background In Paris, 2018, one basic universal right…

APF France Handicap: France Accessible

Background In Paris, 2018, one basic universal right isn’t respected: equal mobility for all. People with reduced mobility only have access to 2% of the Paris Metro, as only Line 14 is properly equipped to help wheelchair users get around. An unfair & unacceptable situation, making Paris the least accessible city, for people with disabilities, in the world, far behind other big cities like Washington (100% accessible), Los Angeles (100% accessible), Tokyo (88% accessible) or Barcelona (82% accessible). This situation is cause for concern, especially since the 2024 Olympic & Paralympic Games are right around the corner, and Paris is meant to be one of the host cities.

Idea
During World Mobility Day, hundreds of volunteers & people with disabilities participated in an illegal stunt operation that took place in the 293 non-accessible metro stations in Paris. The classical metro map was covered with a new metro map that exclusively showed Line 14: the only accessible line to people with disabilities.

Strategy
With only 9 accessible metro stations out of 303, the Paris metro is the least accessible one in the world for people with reduced mobility. Mobility is a universal right, people with reduced mobility should have equal access to it like everybody else. First target the general public (70 million french people, especially all Parisians), especially those with influence on social networks. The second target, the journalists & the media. And lastly, those who have the power to change things: the politicians. APF France Handicap managed to catch the attention of the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and of the French president Emmanuel Macron. They redesigned the Paris metro map so that it would only show Line 14, printed it and stuck it on top of the classical metro maps in the 293 non-accessible metro stations in Paris. They also handed out 10 000 leaflets containing our map to people. Execution Media channels and integration: the current metro maps located at the entrance and inside Paris metro stations. Implementation: They redesigned the Paris metro map so that it would only show Line 14. They then printed the maps in real size using self-adhesive paper.

Scale
We stuck these new maps on top of the classical metro maps in the 293 non-accessible metro stations in Paris.

Timeline
This covering stunt took place on World Mobility Day, on the 26th of September 2018, and was talked about in the media & politics for 3 months.

Outcome
590 million global impressions – 6,5 million in earned media – 0 media investments – Hundreds of articles in the media – Caught the attention of the politicians: Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo sent an official letter to the organisation in charge of the Paris Metro, to take concrete measures to make the metro more accessible to all. Emmanuel Macron recently announced that 60% of the metro network would be accessible to all by 2024, in time for the Olympic / Paralympic Games.

Suicide has been one of the biggest killers of men in the UK.…

Suicide has been one of the biggest killers of men in the UK. To deal with this issue, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) launched their Awareness campaign Call for Help recently for those who were experiencing suicidal thoughts. They provide a free and anonymous helpline for these people to reach out.

CALM introduced the ‘Call For Help’ campaign which resembles a smartphone on billboards and digital display through out-of-home (OOH) marketing across the UK. The campaign is linked live to their Suicide Prevention Line, and whenever they receive a call, the ads are interrupted with a loud ringtone, which catches the people’s attention.
They want to show the people who might be scared to make a call, how regular these calls are made, and how immediately the calls are answered to help them.

In the video, they tell the people that they receive over 200 calls a day. In 2018 alone, they have prevented 675 suicides.

We think campaigns like these should be necessary, as they help to reduce suicides and spread awareness about such serious issues.

Ogilvy Honduras has created Hotelbnb, renovated rooms inside the Hotel Honduras Maya advertised as ‘Airbnb’ roooms.

Airbnb has dominated the hotel industry, but the Honduras Maya Hotel decided to fight back. We turned the hotel’s rooms into chic apartments, just like the ones people would book on Airbnb. And we turned every hotel employee into a host, putting their rooms up for rent on the service. Guests might have been confused upon arrival, but they soon saw that they got everything they signed up for—and much more.

Nike Go BKK Campaign by BBH, Singapore Local insight: Running in Bangkok is…

Nike Go BKK Campaign by BBH, Singapore

Local insight: Running in Bangkok is restricted to gyms (No fun) Or parks, where you’re running in circles (Boring) A shoe that makes running fun needed an innovation that did just that.

Execution: We turned the city of Bangkok into a real-time running game. The moment you step out of your house and switch on your Bluetooth, it’s game on. Like Mario Bros, but in the real world. The more streets you explore, the more tokens you collect. The more tokens you collect, the more rewards you unlock. We even motivated you to explore more of the city via surprise missions. Making every run a different one.

The Tech: By spreading 200 beacons across streets, parks and alleyways, we could seamlessly connect all the runners in Bangkok at the same time. Working with LINE (Thailand’s biggest messaging app), we built an integrated platform inside their chat messenger. Which meant, anyone and everyone could be a part of the game without having to download any additional apps.

Changing running behaviour, one mission at a time. An intelligent back-end system allowed us to study running patterns of the players. Pushing them beyond their usual route to explore different parts of the city at different times of the day/night via missions

No app downloads. Lace up, game on. We didn’t want our tech to interfere with existing running behaviour. So we built the entire game inside Line’s chat messenger. Just step of your house, switch on your Bluetooth and your phone would automatically collect the tokens.

Results: 15632 runners, 35,380 km run, 3,362,021 tokens collected in 15 days.

Some voters face obstacles to casting their ballot. Let’s make this year every American has an equal voice. Boost Mobile launches Boost Your Voice campaign

In one of the biggest election years ever, we discovered voter suppression was a real issue in low income neighborhoods. Lack of outreach, confusing polling places and lines around the block. Boost Mobile stores are located in those neighborhoods. So we turned Boost stores into polling places, transforming them from a place that sells goods to one that does good.

New Film Is Part Of The Apple – Shot On iPhone Films &…

New Film Is Part Of The Apple – Shot On iPhone Films & Billboard Series Our Game

Apple’s new Shot on iPhone campaign travels to India, the second most populous country in the world, in a multidimensional portrait of the country’s collective passion for Cricket. Directed by Gary Land and produced by GLP Creative for TBWA|Media Arts Lab, Our Game takes the viewer on a journey from skinny alleyways to beachside pitches – all captured with striking beauty on the iPhone.

Director/DP Gary Land began as a photography legend in the snowboarding industry, and sports and athletes have been enduring subjects for the director/photographer. Behind each image and film is a physical and emotional story. “Our Game,” is no exception – but this time the sport was unfamiliar and the technology hand-held. In other words: a welcome adventure of discovery.

Extensive planning and four filming teams were essential to capturing varied expressions and textures of Cricket with a range of players, game styles, and locations. Practiced in the usage of large-scale camera packages, the teams delighted in the fact that the iPhone proved to be the perfect tool – allowing for a relaxed intimacy with the subjects and a sense of immersiveness in the action.

“It was an honor and inspiration to work on this campaign,” comments Land. “It opened my eyes on so many levels, from the terrific experience of working professionally with the iPhone to the eye-opening wonder of India, and a true enthusiasm for Cricket. It’s the kind of project that changes you forever.”

Among his past projects are books of photography, including “AI” (Allen Iverson) the result of a decade long collaboration with the legendary NBA Hall of Famer. Another, “Born To Play Baseball,” documenting the Dominican Republic’s intense love and domination of the sport, first brought Land to the attention of the Media Arts Lab creative team with whom he collaborated on “Our Game.”

The Samsonite Weight Tag solves the biggest travel headaches for passengers. The simple elegance of the design is so unique it has patents pending in several countries, including the US, China, and Mexico.

Every year, airlines make millions of dollars in fees for overweight luggage. This causes great anxiety and stress for the passenger as they head to the airport, approach the scale, they do not know whether they are going to have to deal with these costly fees. To avoid paying those hefty fees, passengers are asked to move to the side to repack their luggage. In a rush to get to their gate, this process is done in a rush of stuffing their carry-on bags—with the hope they can get through security and make their flight.

To address this problem, mcgarrybowen created a simple and easy to access solution. The idea took several months to develop, and the result is “Weight Tag.” This is a special paper tag made with a specific thickness and strategic perforations, that can hold up to exactly 50lb/23kg (maximum weight allowed on most airlines) before it snaps. The Weight Tag solves one of the greatest flight struggles for passengers. When it snaps, then passengers can repack their luggage before they get to the airport.
