Aid to Cart – When a Shopping Cart Becomes More Than Just a…

Aid to Cart – When a Shopping Cart Becomes More Than Just a Cart

Every October, brands paint their logos purple, share hashtags, and post supportive messages for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. But this year, one brand took a very different approach — one that didn’t just talk about awareness, but quietly built it into the act of shopping itself.

Meet “Aid to Cart”, a deeply human campaign from GlassesUSA.com in partnership with The National Domestic Violence Hotline. It’s a campaign that transformed a simple e-commerce action — adding something to your cart — into a subtle yet powerful moment of reflection.

The Spark Behind the Idea

Think about oversized sunglasses. To most of us, they’re a statement piece — a stylish way to channel our inner movie star. But for many survivors of domestic abuse, those same frames can hide something else entirely: the marks of violence they’re forced to cover up.

That uncomfortable truth became the emotional center of the campaign.
With the haunting message, “Sometimes people buy oversized frames not to follow a trend, but to hide,” GlassesUSA.com invited viewers to see eyewear through a different lens — not just as a fashion choice, but as a silent cry for help.

Turning Commerce into Compassion

Instead of using their website to push sales or promote discounts, GlassesUSA.com did something refreshingly rare in the retail world — they paused the selling and prioritized helping.

Visitors who clicked on the campaign were taken to a dedicated, non-commercial landing page, offering:

Direct access to The National Domestic Violence Hotline

Educational resources on recognizing signs of abuse

Guidance on how to support loved ones in unsafe situations

In other words, it wasn’t about converting shoppers — it was about connecting them to support.

The brilliance of “Aid to Cart” lies in its simplicity: it took a space designed for consumption and turned it into one of compassion.

A Visual Message That Speaks Volumes

Visually, the campaign didn’t need much. No dramatic imagery. No shock tactics. Just the familiar — a pair of oversized sunglasses — reframed in a way that made people stop scrolling.

The restraint in the visuals made the message hit even harder. It wasn’t about pity or fear; it was about awareness and empathy. That’s what made “Aid to Cart” not just memorable, but meaningful.

Why This Campaign Matters

In an age where “purpose-driven marketing” often feels more like a buzzword than a belief, GlassesUSA.com managed to strike the right balance. They didn’t hijack a cause to sell products — they used their platform to serve one.

Here’s why it worked so well:

Authenticity first. The campaign wasn’t performative — it was rooted in empathy and real partnership.

Collaboration with credibility. By teaming up with The National Domestic Violence Hotline, the brand ensured genuine impact.

Quiet storytelling. Sometimes, the most powerful messages whisper rather than shout.

In short, it’s a perfect example of how advertising can be more than marketing — it can be a mirror that makes society take a second look.

Lessons for Brands and Creators

If you’re in marketing or advertising, “Aid to Cart” offers a masterclass in thoughtful creativity.
Here’s what other brands can learn from it:

Lead with humanity. Before you chase metrics, understand the emotion you’re trying to spark.

Design for awareness, not just action. The best campaigns don’t end at conversion — they start conversations.

Partner with purpose. Collaboration with credible organizations gives your message depth and trust.

Use your platform wisely. Even a product page can become a place for change if used intentionally.

A Campaign That Reminds Us Why Creativity Matters

At its core, “Aid to Cart” is more than a campaign — it’s a reminder of what creativity is supposed to do: make people feel something.

By weaving empathy into the fabric of e-commerce, GlassesUSA.com proved that digital spaces can do more than sell. They can listen. They can help. They can heal.

In a time when online shopping feels so transactional, this campaign turned every click into a quiet act of awareness — and that’s a message worth adding to every cart.

This campaign is about:

STōK Cold Brew Coffee Replacement in Wrexham. Since its launch in 2015, STōK…

STōK Cold Brew Coffee Replacement in Wrexham.

Since its launch in 2015, STōK Cold Brew Coffee has taken the ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee market by storm, doubling in size over the last three years. Despite its rapid growth, the RTD coffee category still holds only 14% household penetration, with STōK accounting for 4% of HHP and gaining traction while competitors struggle. However, data revealed a gap in brand awareness and share of voice, leading STōK to embark on its first-ever national campaign—one designed to be bold, disruptive, and impossible to ignore.

The Strategy: A Disruptive, Culturally Relevant Campaign

To cut through the noise, STōK needed a campaign that didn’t just look like advertising—it had to entertain, engage, and spark conversations. Enter Wrexham AFC, a football team that captured global attention thanks to its Hollywood-backed revival. The club, the town, and its community provided the perfect platform for STōK to make an unexpected and high-impact move: sponsoring the naming rights to Wrexham Racecourse Ground, now known as the STōK Cae Ras.

This partnership aligned perfectly with STōK’s bold personality. Sponsoring a football stadium in a country where cold brew isn’t mainstream? That’s as audacious as it gets. To introduce the sponsorship in an unforgettable way, STōK leveraged Maximum Effort, the creative agency behind Wrexham AFC’s Hollywood narrative, to craft a campaign that blended humor, culture, and brand storytelling.

The Execution: A Viral, Digital-First Approach

STōK’s campaign kicked off with the Secret Replacement video, a 30-second ad that played on the cultural contrast of Wrexham’s tea-loving traditions versus America’s cold brew obsession. The hilarious, chairmen-led prank saw Wrexham AFC players unknowingly swapping their usual teatime for STōK Cold Brew—an instant conversation starter.

To maximize impact, STōK focused its marketing firepower on a digital-first, earned-media strategy. Instead of spreading efforts thin across multiple tactics, the brand flooded digital and social channels with the campaign, ensuring that consumers couldn’t miss it. The timing was also critical—May 25, 2023, a day when media coverage surrounding Wrexham AFC was at its peak.

Sustaining the Momentum

STōK didn’t stop after the initial buzz. The brand remained front and center throughout the Wrexham U.S.A. Invasion, where the team played against Premier League and MLS teams in the U.S. STōK further cemented its presence through partnerships with the Men in Blazers podcast and targeted content running alongside the Welcome to Wrexham documentary.

The campaign culminated in early 2024 with STōK’s first-ever Super Bowl ad, featuring Sir Anthony Hopkins as Wrex the Dragon, Wrexham’s beloved mascot. The 30-second cinematic spot positioned STōK as the energy behind Sir Anthony’s fiery performance and landed the brand on AdWeek’s list of the 13 Best Super Bowl Commercials—an incredible feat for a regional ad.

The Results: Record-Breaking Growth and Brand Awareness

STōK’s partnership with Wrexham AFC delivered phenomenal results:

$5M in incremental sales and doubled household penetration within the first three months.

Category-leading growth: +11% HHP, +26% dollar sales, and +17% volume sales, while competitors struggled.

14+ billion impressions across digital, social, and earned media.

Unprecedented Instagram engagement: 92% of the annual follower growth target achieved in just one day, 826K+ impressions above benchmarks, and a 2794% increase in reach rate.

365 pieces of earned media coverage across major outlets like ESPN, Associated Press, People Magazine, Adweek, and The Athletic.

99% positive/neutral sentiment in earned media, reinforcing STōK’s status as a culturally relevant, buzzworthy brand.

A Bold Future for STōK Cold Brew

STōK Cold Brew’s partnership with Wrexham AFC proved that thinking outside the box and tapping into cultural moments can yield massive brand growth. By combining humor, entertainment, and a truly unexpected sponsorship, STōK not only increased brand awareness but also redefined what it means to market cold brew coffee in today’s digital-first world.

As STōK continues its momentum, one thing is clear: this brand has no chill when it comes to making bold moves.

The Telecom industry is growing rapidly and becoming more competitive every day. Digital…

The Telecom industry is growing rapidly and becoming more competitive every day. Digital marketing is a powerful tool that helps telecom companies expand their business and reach the audience with a more personalized and effective approach. Telecom digital marketing uses various strategies, such as PPC or social media marketing, to target potential customers and improve business performance.
In this article, we will discuss the role of digital marketing and some important marketing strategies used in the telecom industry. Let’s have a look!

Content Marketing

An effective content marketing strategy can be really helpful for telecom companies in attracting the right audience. Content marketing is all about creating informative and engaging content that can attract the audience and tell about your business and services. For a telecom business, it can be an e-book, blog post, article, or even video.
For example, a telecom company can write an article about internet speed or different speed test tools. When discussing internet speed, it is important to provide accurate information. To check this, I recently conducted a speed test using speed.is and was impressed with the results. Here is what my speed.is speedtest results were. This kind of content not only educates the audience but also adds credibility to your content.

Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is important for the telecom industry as it helps companies engage with customers on a more personal level. Companies can use social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to promote their services and products. Telecom companies can also use these platforms to solve customer queries and provide updates.

Search Engine Optimization

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is one of the best digital marketing strategies for telecom companies. It is all about optimizing the website to rank higher in organic search results. This includes using targeted keywords, quality content with proper headings, and backlinking.

Moreover, it also focuses on the technical parts of the website, such as speed and design, to ensure a better customer experience. For instance, improving site speed is important, as slow-loading pages can negatively impact user experience. If you want to assess your current internet performance, you can check it out here with the Ooredoo Internet Speed Test.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is the most simple and direct method to reach customers. Telecom companies can use email marketing campaigns to send personalized emails, offers, and updates to customers. This is the best way to generate high leads and convert them into potential customers.

Imagine a world where happiness isn’t just a fleeting feeling, but a skill…

Imagine a world where happiness isn’t just a fleeting feeling, but a skill you can learn. That’s precisely what Visit Finland set out to achieve with their groundbreaking Masterclass of Happiness. And boy, did they succeed! Not only did they spark a global media sensation, but they also saw a significant boost in travel to Finland. Let’s dive into how this campaign captured hearts and minds around the world.

Finland: The Reigning Champion of Happiness
For seven consecutive years, Finland has proudly held the title of the world’s happiest country. But what makes the Finnish so happy? To share their secrets, Visit Finland, in collaboration with their creative agency SEK, introduced the Masterclass of Happiness. This unique campaign wasn’t just about promoting tourism; it aimed to spread the Finnish way of life and their secrets to lasting happiness.

The Birth of the Masterclass of Happiness
In a world where nearly half of the population struggles to remember what happiness feels like, Visit Finland saw an opportunity. They launched the Masterclass of Happiness, a crash course designed to share the Finnish lifestyle with the world. The idea was simple yet profound: happiness isn’t a mystical trait but a skill that can be learned.

“Against the backdrop of a decline in happiness levels worldwide, the Finnish lifestyle represented a positive outlook,” says Suvi Lähde, Executive Creative Director at SEK. “Recognizing the universal desire for contentment, the idea of the Masterclass of Happiness started to develop. While attracting travelers, our goal was to create a genuine, meaningful tool for anyone to embrace the Finnish happy lifestyle.”

Making Waves with a Modest Budget
Despite operating with a smaller budget compared to its competitors, Visit Finland’s strategy relied on the viral potential of social media, targeted online advertising, and robust PR efforts. The results were nothing short of spectacular. The campaign garnered over 2,500 media hits globally, with coverage from prestigious outlets like CBS News, BBC, Forbes, and ABC News, which even featured a special two-episode series on the masterclass.

The multichannel, social-first approach of the campaign struck a chord worldwide. Over 150,000 people from various corners of the globe applied to join the masterclass, eager to learn the Finnish secrets to happiness.

Digital Triumphs and Real-World Results
Visit Finland’s digital channels experienced explosive growth following the campaign’s launch. Social media followers increased by 22%, website traffic soared by 350%, and TikTok hashtag views surpassed 9.6 million. A surprise endorsement from Kourtney Kardashian, who shared the campaign with her 224 million Instagram followers, further fueled the global interest.

But the success wasn’t confined to the digital realm. One of the primary goals was to boost awareness of Finland as a travel destination. Comparing travel numbers with the previous year, the impact was clear: overnight stays in Finland increased by 8%.

A Campaign for the Record Books
The Masterclass of Happiness didn’t just capture the public’s imagination—it also impressed industry experts. The campaign won awards at the SABRE Awards EMEA and Grand One, Finland’s largest digital marketing awards, and advanced to Round 2 in The 2024 One Show in two categories.

“We believed that the concept of happiness would resonate across the globe, but the level of excitement and engagement we saw still took us by surprise,” says Virva Katajala, Head of Marketing at Visit Finland. “The Masterclass of Happiness turned out to be our most successful campaign ever.”

Conclusion
Visit Finland’s Masterclass of Happiness is a testament to the power of innovative thinking and the universal appeal of happiness. By sharing their unique approach to life, Finland not only boosted its tourism but also provided a meaningful, impactful tool for people worldwide. This campaign shows that happiness isn’t just a feeling—it’s a way of life that can be shared and learned by all. So, are you ready to embrace the Finnish way of happiness?

In 2023, we can expect to see AI-powered chatbots and voice assistants becoming the norm in the customer service industry. Furthermore, AI will play a crucial role in data analysis, helping marketers to better understand their customers and personalize their marketing efforts.

2. Growing Importance of Video Marketing:

Video marketing has been on the rise for several years, and it is expected to become even more critical in 2023. The popularity of video content is likely to continue to rise, and brands that fail to incorporate video into their marketing strategies risk falling behind the competition. Short-form video content like TikTok is expected to gain more prominence in 2023.

3. Rise of Influencer Marketing:

Influencer marketing has emerged as a significant trend in recent years, and it is expected to grow even more in 2023. With the proliferation of social media platforms, influencers have gained a significant amount of power to sway consumer behavior. In 2023, we can expect to see more brands leveraging the power of influencer marketing to increase brand awareness and engagement.

4. Personalization:

In 2023, personalized marketing will become even more critical. Customers expect brands to deliver tailored experiences that meet their unique needs and preferences. Marketers will need to leverage data and analytics to understand their customers’ behaviors and deliver customized messages and experiences.

5. Augmented and Virtual Reality:

Augmented and virtual reality are emerging as exciting technologies that can be used in digital marketing. In 2023, we can expect to see more brands leveraging AR and VR to create immersive experiences for their customers. For instance, brands could use AR to allow customers to try on products virtually or use VR to provide immersive tours of properties.

Conclusion:
The digital marketing industry in India is rapidly evolving, and it is essential for marketers to stay abreast of the latest trends to remain competitive. In 2023, we can expect to see AI, video marketing, influencer marketing, personalization, and augmented and virtual reality becoming more important in digital marketing. Brands that are quick to adopt these trends will be able to stay ahead of the curve and engage their customers effectively.

Brands spend millions to appear on different websites worldwide using different, often inefficient…

Brands spend millions to appear on different websites worldwide using different, often inefficient formats.

Pepsi Code managed to cross the marketing, time, and advertising barriers by getting its Twitter followers to carry Pepsi’s message to places where not even paid media had been able to carry the brand.

That’s why, while some pay millions of dollars to appear on the most important websites in the world, Pepsi turned thousands of followers into “hackers”, so that from their computers and with an HTML code, they would put a message in thousands of websites around the world, all in exchange for a Pepsi.

With no advertising budget, not even one influencer, just an HTML code, and some Pepsi to give away through Twitter, the brand was able to change the conversation and increase interactions with our followers, who dared to take Pepsi’s message to the most important and unreachable websites such as the Nasa, the White House, New York Times, Tesla, Google home page, Apple, Starbucks, Nike, KFC, Sony, Chevrolet, and even Coca Cola website.

The AB InBev brewer has launched “The Beer Cap Project,” an initiative in…

The AB InBev brewer has launched “The Beer Cap Project,” an initiative in which it’s letting other brands like Uber Eats, KFC, Papa John’s, the Hard Rock Café, Uber and Cabify put their own branded caps on bottles of Aguila.

Turns out it’s a responsible-drinking campaign. All the brands involved are food, water, or transportation brands. Food and water help mitigate the effects of alcohol, and brands like Uber and Cabify, of course, help you get home without driving after a night on the town.

What’s more, the caps offer discounts on products and services from the featured brands, making it more appealing to make good choices while drinking. This page shows the various caps and the offers underneath them.

The campaign was devised by MullenLowe SSP3.

“Each year, the beer industry spends billions of dollars to promote responsible drinking, but binge drinking is still a huge problem around the world,” says the agency’s chief creative officer, Carlos Andrés Rodríguez. “Experts have found that consuming water while out, eating, and going home earlier are all ways to drink responsibly, so we wanted to do something that has never been done before and remove Aguila’s logo from the caps and give this space to other brands.”

Volkswagen
Colouring books are a best seller for kids and adults. With that in mind, 11:21 created a Volkswagen Children’s Day campaign that turns the print ad into a platform for colouring, crossword puzzles, etc. The campaign goes to the POS, with tableware in the group’s four dealerships in Rio. The placement will be in the newspaper O Globo.

Save the Children: Pencil Toolbox
As part of Save the Children’s ‘Save their Childhood’ campaign, the creative print ads refers to Romania’s app. 282,000 children are in danger of not beginning or continuing their school education.

Pinterest announces new shopping features to help you Find What You Actually Love.…

Pinterest announces new shopping features to help you Find What You Actually Love.

Pinterest is announcing the launch of several new updates to keep shopping on Pinterest inspirational for its more than 400 million global monthly Pinners and introducing a new marketing campaign that celebrates how Pinterest helps you find what you actually love.

New Pinterest shopping features include:

Idea ads with paid partnership

Slideshow for Collections

Shopping ads

Merchant details

Product tagging

Feed optimization playbook with best practices

Advanced filtering capabilities

A new API

Campaign Budgets

The past year has accelerated a rapid worldwide shift to e-commerce, but it has left something valuable behind the inspiration. Based on Pinterest’s research, 89% of weekly Pinners use Pinterest for inspiration in their path to purchase (GfK, Pinterest Path to Purchase Study among Weekly Pinners who use Pinterest in the Category). Shoppers on Pinterest are 40% more likely to say they love shopping than people who don’t use Pinterest. That is because Pinterest includes inspiration at every part of the shopping journey, not just for Pinners but also for advertisers, merchants, and creators.

Inspired Advertisers
For Pinners, shopping is a way of life. Since Pinners like to shop on Pinterest and discover products they love, Pinterest leads to bigger basket sizes. Shoppers on Pinterest have 85% bigger baskets than shoppers on other platforms (Dynata, April 2021). Pinterest’s updated Collections Ads are created for basket building. Collection Slideshow Ads allow advertisers to leverage their catalogues to create shoppable video-like content in the form of a slideshow of complementary products.

Now, advertisers can combine collections ads with video to curate immersive shoppable experiences to present their brands and products engagingly. Through these new experiences, Pinners shift from curiosity about the video to consideration about items featured in the video. When a Collection Slideshow ad is served, the tagged products will be dynamically selected and personalized to the Pinner.

Inspired Merchants
Shoppers on Pinterest don’t only fall in love with a product; they fall in love with a brand. 64% of Pinners say Pinterest is where they find an idea, product or service they can trust. Pinterest is a place where brands can build a connection with their customers and lead with their values.

Pinterest’s new inspirational Merchant Details help brands tell their story and build a stronger connection between brands and Pinners by communicating their values, including Eco-friendly, Invested in Good, Responsibly Sourced, Personal Touch and Inclusive. In showcasing these details, merchants can better connect with Pinners who want to shop according to their values.

In addition, Pinterest recently expanded its Verified Merchant Program to more countries, including Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Brazil and Mexico, to broaden its marketplace of high-quality merchants and products that inspire Pinners. In exchange for quality products, accurate metadata, inspirational content, and reasonable shipping and return policies, merchants receive predictable value through enhanced distribution, a badge that builds Pinner trust, and conversion reporting and insights.

Inspired Creators
Creators are an essential part of the Pinterest ecosystem because they bring inspiration into action with their creativity and expertise. Building on new ways to help Creators build their business and earn money on the platform, Pinterest is experimenting with Ideas ads with paid partnerships. This new ad format enables select advertisers to promote Idea Pins from managed Creators.

Idea ads with paid partnerships enable businesses to scale collaborative content beyond the creator’s audiences by promoting it to their target audiences and measuring Pinterest’s ad platform performance. Pinners come to get inspired and shop from their favourite brand and Creators, so great ads are expected and welcomed on Pinterest. Pinners can view inspiring videos and images and get the step-by-step breakdown within the ad.

This new ad format allows advertisers to scale their collaborative content, drive awareness, increase engagement, and build trust with their audience. Idea ads with the paid partnership will launch in beta in the following 15 countries: US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Brazil and Mexico.

Find What You Actually Love
On Pinterest, shopping is about DISCOVERY. It’s about finding products you never even knew existed and figuring out who you are along the way. That’s why today Pinterest is launching a new marketing campaign in the US and coming to more countries soon to celebrate the unique shopping journey on Pinterest.

Every day, 1.8 billion gamers play online. Almost half of them are girls. A study showed that 100% of these girls had suffered some form of harassment while playing games. Telefonica’s Vivo/WWT decided to be the first brand to stand for gamer girls against online harassment through #MyGameMyName campaign. Many girls are hiding their identities behind male nicknames to protect themselves. To reach both boys and girls, they should count on their idols: the gamer influencers. So they invited the biggest male influencers for an experience: they should change their nicknames to female names and play online for one day.
