Katie Meade, a 32 year old former Special Olympics athlete and model has been roped in by Beauty & Pin-Ups as the brand ambassador of their latest product -‘Fearless Hair Rescue Treatment’. This is a very special and encouraging move as it is for the first time that a beauty company has approached the first model with down syndrome to become brand ambassador for one of their products.

“Katie has battled heart surgery, competed in the Special Olympics, and shines as a Best Buddies International spokeswoman. She’s also a daughter, a sister and a friend who has broken down barriers, busted stereotypes and stigmas and won over countless hearts, including ours.
