Reebok To Go – The world’s first sharable shoe-service Reebok – a brand…

Reebok To Go – The world’s first sharable shoe-service

Reebok – a brand that believes in the power of moving (that sports can change lives) – is now launching Reebok To Go, an alternative to the e-scooters, and the first rentable sneaker service ever. Why ride when you can use your feet? With Reebok To Go, there is no excuse. Reebok To Go works similarly to rental scooters. The shoes are equipped with a QR-Code you can scan with your phone. Once you have entered your details, it’s just a case of putting them on and away you go. The soles of the shoes also have a GPS tag so that each pair can be tracked on a map. Reebok To Go is a reminder of the importance of getting your daily exercise. If we can get more people to rediscover their feet through this initiative, that would be a step, well many steps, in the right direction.

Major European cities like Stockholm are being invaded by electric scooters. They have become immensely popular but are also creating debate and are currently a hot topic in the news. Some hate the scooters, but others love them. The main arguments for the scooters have been hard to argue against. Not only are they a fast and cheap alternative to cars, but they are also electric (sustainable) and contributes to less congestion on the roads. However, recent research in Sweden shows that only 2 in 100 journeys replace cars. In almost all other cases, the scooter replaces people walking. So, even though its still faster, it is not cheaper or more sustainable. And, more importantly, it contributes more people moving even less, which in turn affects people’s health. And recent statistics from the WHO show that fewer and fewer people get enough exercise.

Cardi B stars in “Nails,” an enthralling moment of acrylic prowess for Reebok as part of the campaign #SportTheUnexpected. Agency Venables Bell & Partners teamed with Cut+Run’s editor Ben Campbell and Biscuit director Andrea Nilsson to create this eye-popping celebration of the stylin’ collaboration between the performer and brand.

The artist has been nothing short of a trailblazer since her debut album Invasion of Privacy released in 2017. Her musical accolades include the woman with the most simultaneous Hot 100 entries, while her resume and influence go well beyond the music. In other words, she nails it.

Reebok India Tells the World Bruises Can Be Good, Through a Social Experiment…

Reebok India Tells the World Bruises Can Be Good, Through a Social Experiment
The campaign has been conceptualised and executed by Isobar India.

Isobar, the digital agency from Dentsu Aegis Network that handles the digital solutions for Reebok India, released a thought-provoking campaign – #BruisesCanBeGood on International Women’s Day. Launched with a social experiment, it makes a compelling statement on societal insights.

According to the National Family Health Survey (NHFS-4), every third woman in India, since the age of 15, has faced domestic violence of various forms. Making a strong assessment, #BruisesCanBeGood brings to light the harsh reality and the prevalent mind-set of the society by involving real audience. By highlighting the prevalence, the campaign aims to establish the need for self-defence education from a young age. Featuring a real combat artist as a protagonist, the social experiment further underlines the brand’s overarching communication for women – #FitToFight.

The mission of the campaign is to make self-defence classes a mandatory part of the curricula in schools and colleges. To achieve this, the brand has also written a petition on Change.org urging the Government of India to bring in the necessary reforms. To sign the petition, one can visit www.bruisescanbegood.com.

Watch The social experiment:

Speaking about the campaign, Silvia Tallon, Senior Marketing Director, Reebok India, said, “Our idea behind ‘Bruises Can Be Good’ was to showcase the skewed lens with which our society views bruises and women. The ingrained perceptions of bruises being violence inflicted, shadows the inner strength of the woman and allows us to undermine them. Since combat training is in our brand gene, Reebok honours these bruises as a mark of physical strength and mental toughness that can face any challenge. On International Women’s Day, we salute women who beat the odds and are “fit to fight” physically, mentally and socially.”

Commenting on the campaign, Gopa Kumar, Executive Vice President, Isobar India said, “‘Bruises Can Be Good’ is a powerful thought that focuses on how imperative it has become in today’s times to teach self-defence. For Women’s Day, we wanted to do a campaign that actually leads to a positive change and hence, the petition. The campaign is also in line with Reebok’s ‘Fit To Fight’ proposition and takes it forward beautifully.”

“A crime against a woman is committed every three minutes in India. We felt that just another story on Women’s Day is not what the nation needs; there is a desire to bring about substantial change and show the real picture, and this social experiment sets out to do that by highlighting how prevalent violence against women is. We hope that impactful moment of realisation will reach people from all walks of life; and I really urge people to sign the petition to make self-defence education mandatory for female students and show the world that #BruisesCanBeGood”, states Anish Varghese, National Creative Director, Isobar India.

Pinkathon – Empowering Indian Women, India’s biggest women’s run to encourage and promote…

Pinkathon – Empowering Indian Women, India’s biggest women’s run to encourage and promote fitness & health among women and create awareness for Breast Cancer, Bone health, Thyroid disorder and other issues relating to women’s health is supported by United Sisters Foundation and promoted by Maximus MICE & Media Solutions.

Sometimes the only way to beat your critics is to run. To run as fast as your feet will take you. Tata Salt Lite with 15% less sodium is proud to be associated with Colors Pinkathon and encourages every woman to not just stand on her own feet, but to run with them. So go healthy. #GoActive

Tata Salt Lite – ‘Don’t Listen’ in association with Colors Pinkathon

Anirban Roy, Senior Vice President – Planning, Ogilvy Mumbai: Running is a metaphor for life: no matter how you run, where you run, when you run and from what you run, we believe our work will inspire women to adopt an active lifestyle. In an age when most brands struggle to get past her attention wall, it is an honest effort by a brand that has been championing societal health and well-being for decades.

Namrata Keswani, Head of Digital Domain, Ogilvy Mumbai: Even today, the woman of the house gives her own self the least priority…Without realising that if she doesn’t focus on herself, she will not be able to give her best to her home and family. This work is a noble effort to make her go active and remain healthy.

Sagar Boke, Head–Marketing, Consumer Products Business, Tata Chemicals: A healthy family, a healthy nation and a healthy world begins with women. The first step in empowerment is taking control of one’s own health and nurturing oneself. By virtue of associating with Pinkathon, Tata Salt Lite seeks to motivate women to run for their health, regardless of what society dictates. Tata Salt Lite, a low sodium salt, is ideal for people who seek an active lifestyle. With the Pinkathon association, we not only hope to strengthen the brands Health credentials but also create a strong emotional connect with its consumers.
