We are often told that success requires hard work, sacrifice, grit, and dedication. While all of that is still true, people often forget the important part joy plays in success. With its thought-provoking Super Bowl commercial, Michelob Ultra raises a question about the importance of Joy in attaining success.

With the world facing COVID-19, despair is something that we battle with every day. In such a trying time, we need to cling to all the inspiration we can get. Thanks to Nike, we have legends from the world of sport to cheer us on. In yet another hard-hitting motivational ad titled Never Too Far Down, Nike has managed to instil viewers with hope and enthusiasm.

Featuring the comeback stories of all-time greats, this campaign is a grand affair. More precisely, it features names like LeBron James, Serena Williams, and Tiger Woods. It reminds us of the resilience of the human spirit amid a global health crisis. Moreover, the creative geniuses from Widen+Kennedy have crafted a storytelling marvel. The campaign not only exudes visual brilliance but also boasts a powerful narration. Consequently, the core message of the ad is one that’s cohesively delivered.

Never Too Far Down resonates as much with an athlete as with a layman. All in all, we feel that it is a great addition to Nike’s roster of sport-themed inspirational ads.

Serena Williams is a sports icon familiar to almost every household across the…

Serena Williams is a sports icon familiar to almost every household across the globe. She’s not just a brilliant athlete, but also someone with a melodious voice. In a bid to kick off the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a bare-chested Serena released her rendition of Divinyls’ famous song – I Touch Myself for Berlei.

Serena’s breathtaking performance not only presents a meaningful message but also acts as a tribute to Chrissy Amphlett. I Touch Myself is a powerful example of heartfelt activism that hits home.

The digitalized version of Serena’s performance was curated by JWT-Sydney and broadcasted under Berlei’s breast cancer awareness campaign. By stepping out of her comfort-zone, Serena urges other women to self-check for lumps in their breasts from time-to-time. In a report by WHO, it is stated that almost 15% of cancer-related deaths in women have been attributed to breast cancer; Therefore, it isn’t an issue to be taken lightly. As said by Serena herself, early detection can significantly reduce the risk of mortality associated with this disease.

Judging by Serena’s responsible demeanor towards the cause and the associated response by the public, it can be fairly stated that Chrissy Amphlett’s legacy, Project I Touch Myself, is receiving the treatment it deserves!

What started as Blue Ribbon Sports is now a multinational corporation called Nike.…

What started as Blue Ribbon Sports is now a multinational corporation called Nike. In the brand’s 54-year long run, the Swoosh logo has been a part of many moments of athletic greatness. Nike’s slogan, ‘Just do it!’, came into being in 1988. Ever since that, it has been one of the brand’s core principles. In a bid to celebrate the tagline’s 30-year anniversary, Nike released a campaign starring various personnel from the world of sports. The title of the campaign is Nike Dream Crazy featuring Colin Kaepernick.

The ad aired on 5 September 2018 and involved Colin Kaepernick at its forefront. The internet responded to Colin’s association with the campaign in a divided fashion due to the athlete’s recent stand on racism in the USA. Many people didn’t like the fact that someone who refused to stand up for America’s national anthem was chosen as the face of the Dream Crazy campaign.

However, the controversy surrounding the motivational film does not take away its excellence. The Dream Crazy concept was brought to life by Wieden + Kennedy. It focused on the central message of believing in your dreams no matter how crazy they seem to be. The film urges dreamers not to attach limits to their efforts, and to go all the way in the pursuit of their aspirations.

We feel that the campaign needs to accredited for its core message. Regardless of where one stands as far as Kaepernick’s involvement is concerned, it can’t be denied that Nike has yet again created a top-notch motivational promo.

Don’t ask if your dreams are crazy. Ask if they’re crazy enough. #JustDoIt

MINI is proud to partner with U. S. Olympians who have defied labels…

MINI is proud to partner with U. S. Olympians who have defied labels on their #RoadToRio. The athletes who have exceeded expectations and defined themselves. Because they are the ones who truly embody the Olympic spirit.

Athletes including Claressa Shields, Carlos Balderas and Ibtihaj Muhammad announce their labels of “poor,” “immigrant” and “Muslim” while they stand proudly in their Team USA gear. Professional tennis player Serena Williams stands defiantly and announces that the only label that should matter is “Olympian.”

U.S. Olympic Games TV Spot

Ibtihaj Muhammad

“Muslim. Black. Girl.” These labels aren’t limitations for U.S. Olympian Ibtihaj Muhammad. She’s worked her entire life to combat stereotypes and define herself.

Morghan King

“Too old. Too small. Too strong.” These are labels that U.S. Olympian Morghan King has been given, and she loves being strong.

Carlos Balderas

“Immigrant. Thug.” These aren’t limitations for U.S. Olympian Carlos Balderas. He uses negative labels as motivation to get where he is today.

Carlin Isles

“Foster kid. Too small. Never gonna make it.” These labels don’t define U.S. Olympian Carlin Isles because he’s comfortable being different.

Cullen Jones

“Don’t let anyone ever stop you. A different background shouldn’t stop you from being the best that you can be.” Labels aren’t limitations for U.S. Olympian Cullen Jones.

Claressa Shields

“Too young. Too tough. Too much muscle” These aren’t limitations for U.S. Olympian Claressa Shields. You can never have too much muscle, and you can never be too tough.

Serena Williams

No one can define you, no one can put a label on you, you can defy anything that anyone says. Labels aren’t limitations for U.S. Olympian Serena Williams.

Jake Gibb

“Old. Not good enough. Done.” These aren’t limitations for U.S. Olympian Jake Gibb. He owned his labels and now he’s a three-time Olympian and two-time cancer survivor.
