The Big Ben in London has been under scaffolding since more than a year and is not scheduled to re-open soon. This means that the people of London and tourists are missing out on the iconic bell and its sound while passing by the Big Ben. But Taco Bell seems to go all ding in the silence! Yes, it is this silence around Big Ben that inspired Taco Bell to come up with an activation idea that involves a ding to announce their arrival in London! But not explicitly. Taco Bell had an audio engineer make a digital version of its signature ding or bell that resembled the classic Westminster chimes. This new ding was made to ring via parametric speakers hidden under wraps in a passing auto rickshaw! How cool is that! And the passers-by were delighted to hear the sweet chime similar to Big Ben again. Few even stood wondering as to how the bell of the Big Ben is ringing when it is still under scaffolding!

We think this activation stunt truly brings a sweet surprise and fun and wonder to Londoners while marking the fast food chain’s entry into London with a bang!
