Leo Burnett Bangkok with Thai Health Promotion Foundation encourages people to stop wasting…

Leo Burnett Bangkok with Thai Health Promotion Foundation encourages people to stop wasting time drinking and get to work for a better life instead. During hard times, while many people are hustling doing extra jobs and putting in more work to strive for a better life. Thai Health Promotion Foundation concerns that drinking may prohibit many people from using their full abilities to work efficiently, and also sees that alcohol consumes up a big chunk of people’s time that they could be spending working for a better living condition. Leo Burnett Bangkok came up with a dynamic, fun and simple TVC aiming for people to see how easy and more worthy it is to make a quick life turnaround, if they just replace the alcohol bottles in their hands with different working tools and put them to work, spending time wisely to gain more money instead of wasting time and money being drunk.

IKEA Be Someone’s Home On IDAHOT 17 May, the International Day Against Homophobia,…

IKEA Be Someone’s Home

On IDAHOT 17 May, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia, we’re calling on our customers and co-workers to make LGBT+ people feel at home everywhere, every day.

For many of us, a forced quarantine during 2020 has taught us how important our home is – a place where we can feel safe, where we can love and feel loved. But some risk being stigmatised, isolated and discriminated against in their living spaces. For the LGBT+ community, their four walls are not always what makes them feel at home and welcomed.

With the Be Someone’s Home campaign 2020, we want to recognise this reality and invite co-workers and customers to be a shelter for those who are discriminated against and struggle to find safety. We can be a safe space for our LGBT+ friends and colleagues; we can be their home.

Everyone should have the right to be themselves. Stand up against discrimination of LGBT+ persons on 17 May, and every day #BeSomeonesHome #IDAHOT.

Campaign: McDonald’s unskippable pre-roll | Wash your hands! In today’s day-and-age where consuming…

Campaign: McDonald’s unskippable pre-roll | Wash your hands!
In today’s day-and-age where consuming video content is a common phenomenon, everyone from school-going children to senior citizens is familiar with skippable ads that often precede YouTube videos. A recent campaign by McDonald’s Russia leveraged this sense of familiarity to deliver an important message.

Leo Burnett, the agency responsible for the ideation of the campaign, cleverly made the ad 20-seconds long. This decision magnifies the ad’s impact as properly washing your hands also takes 20 seconds.

We feel that the unconventional format of the campaign instantly draws the attention of its viewers. Given the magnitude of the threat that the world is currently facing, we wholeheartedly support this initiative.

Tochka Bank : Stronger than crisis – A new life-asserting ad created by…

Tochka Bank : Stronger than crisis – A new life-asserting ad created by Voskhod, Creative agency in Russia.

At hard times like this, entrepreneurs are struggling on the verge between survival and financial crisis. Yet, they don’t give up on their beliefs! Voskhod and Tochka bank tell an inspiring story about life on quarantine.

All filming was safe and carried out using long telephoto lenses and drones. The participants were keeping a safe distance between each other. Some of the mini-stories were filmed at home. All characters of the video are real entrepreneurs. The video featured: Tochka Bank’s CEO Boris Diakonov, bank’s co-founder and CMO Yana Gannik, Ural Opera Ballet theatre’ art director Vyacheslav Samodurov, Voskhod agency’s creative director Andrey Gubaydullin and many others.

The soundtrack of the video is a remix of the song «Thank you» written and performed by Sergey Bobunets, a famous Ural musician. By the way, the song itself hasn’t released yet — so it’s a truly unique case in the history of music!

With the new uplifting video, Tochka Bank expresses its support to all entrepreneurs who found themselves in the times of hardship like today. In the meantime, the bank keeps providing full services, including opening an account, online.

Every day, millions of children face dangerous and difficult challenges that rob them of their dignity and hope. Children are one of the most vulnerable populations and each day millions are oppressed by violence, child labor, early marriage, illiteracy and inequality. To help protect and give these children a voice, Right To Play has launched ‘We Rise,’ a powerful new global fundraising campaign to generate awareness and funds for international programs that honour these children, and give them hope through play-based learning, amplifying a conversation around the organization’s innovative and impactful approach to addressing the crisis of opportunity for children.

The campaign aims to give these oppressed children their own movement by shining a light upon the horrific circumstances these children face every day. From inhumane factory environments to child trafficking – many of their futures are severely limited by violence, exploitation and inequality. Through play-based learning, Right to Play empowers children to rise above these challenges and find their way back to hope.

Pantene is ‘Going home for the holidays’ to inspire acceptance and celebrate the…

Pantene is ‘Going home for the holidays’ to inspire acceptance and celebrate the LGBTQ+ Community this holiday season – #IMBeautifulLGBTQ+

137 million Americans will travel home this holiday season. But, 44% of LGBTQ+ people feel they can’t come home as their true selves, fearing their identity, including hair, makeup and wardrobe, won’t be accepted. While every LGBTQ+ person has their own unique story about going home for the holidays, everyone is seeking the same thing – to be surrounded by people who love and accept them. To help amplify their stories of transformation, Pantene, GLAAD and the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles have created “Going Home for the Holidays” video series to raise awareness of the tensions and challenges LGBTQ+ Community members can face. Pantene wants to celebrate & encourage individuals to be proud of who they are – whenever, wherever, and however, they come home.

“Inclusion is at the heart of Pantene’s mission to celebrate the beauty of all transformations and all people,” said Ilaria Resta, Vice President, North America Hair Care, Procter & Gamble. “Hearing these LGBTQ individuals speak about the trials and triumphs of going home for the holidays – as well as their irrepressible desire to be their true selves – will inspire others in the community and remind us all what true beauty is about.”

Pantene is dedicated to helping everyone everywhere see and experience transformation in their lives in big and small ways. “Going Home for the Holidays” builds upon the brand’s “Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Beautiful” Campaign, launched during Pride Month 2019. The “Going Home for the Holidays” video vignettes feature powerful stories of four members of the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles. One video in particular features Crystal as she shares how she decides to change her appearance in terms of clothing, makeup and hair with family members when she goes home. “To be able to express myself openly, and genuinely – it’s freeing,” she said. “I could finally look in the mirror and say, ‘that’s me’.”

In addition to the “Going Home for the Holidays” series of videos, Pantene has pledged to make a $100,000 donation to Family Equality, which envisions a world in which every LGBTQ+ person has the right and the opportunity to form and sustain a loving family. “Family Equality is excited and proud to join Pantene’s inclusive embrace of all family members during the holidays. Families of origin, families that are formed, and chosen families all have a role to play in the beautiful patchwork of love and acceptance that makes up our LGBTQ+ community,” said The Reverend Stan J Sloan, CEO of Family Equality.

The brand is proud to continue their partnership with GLAAD, which accelerates the acceptance of LGBTQ+ people by sharing stories and working through all forms of media. uplifts members of the LGBTQ+ community by celebrating inclusion, representation and freedom of expression. “Pantene is setting the standard for authentic inclusion of LGBTQ people and stories among brands that transcend industries,” said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis. “LGBTQ stories need to be told by brands outside of Pride month and Pantene is demonstrating a real commitment to LGBTQ storytelling with this moving holiday video. Especially around the holidays when too many LGBTQ people feel isolated, it’s so important to remind community members who celebrate with families – chosen or otherwise – that they are beautiful.”

About GLAAD
GLAAD rewrites the script for LGBTQ acceptance. As a dynamic media force, GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change. GLAAD protects all that has been accomplished and creates a world where everyone can live the life they love. For more information, please visit www.glaad.org.

Swiggy is India’s largest food delivery app, employing over 200,000 delivery partners. However, a lot of their delivery partners don’t wear helmets. To change this behaviour, they used the occasion of Karva Chauth – a festival where women fast and pray for the safety and long lives of their husbands. Their delivery partners were invited to the hubs on the pretext of taking home gifts for their wives. The boxes contained items typically associated with the event – henna cones, bindis, bangles, etc. In addition, they also included helmets.

The latest festive campaign from the house of Maruti Suzuki, #GharAayaTyohar If there…

The latest festive campaign from the house of Maruti Suzuki, #GharAayaTyohar

If there is one word which describes India the best, it’s diversity. Diversity in cultures, entertainment, food and more. This diversity is probably reflected as the strongest in the country’s festivals.

Each festival is unique and gives people a special reason to come together in celebration. And the unique thing about buying a car is that it invokes the same kind of festive spirit by encouraging everyone to look forward to new beginnings, happiness, and joyous journeys.

That’s exactly what Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading automotive manufacturer, wants to highlight with its new festival season-specific campaign – Ghar Aaya Tyohar. All while bringing together the entire range of cars offered by MSIL’s new and transformed channel, Maruti Suzuki Arena.

The campaign showcases a range of vibrant, colourful festive celebrations from across India, with their one-of-a-kind nuances and the excitement they form in people’s minds.

Commenting on the campaign, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director – Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India said, “Festivals are a high point in the life of people. India is diverse; people are diverse and so are the festivals and the occasions to celebrate. Every festival is celebrated in its beautiful way. However, a few things always remain common like celebration, happiness and bringing home a Maruti Suzuki. With our new Ghar Aaya Tyohar commercial, we intend to strengthen the same thought and provide people with the same happiness and pride of owning a Maruti Suzuki car, which we have delivered for decades.”

Speaking about the campaign, Anupama Ramaswamy, National Creative Director, Dentsu Impact, said, “India is a nation described by diversity, just like its festivals. But one festival that binds everyone together is the joy of buying a new car. After all, it gives different people different reasons to celebrate. For a young person it’s a celebration of the coming of age, for a woman it’s a celebration of freedom, for a family it is a celebration of togetherness. We believe Maruti Suzuki is that one name which can do complete justice to the feeling of Ghar Aaya Tyohar because as a brand, it has touched many lives.’’

Amit Wadhwa, President, Dentsu Impact, said, “Ghar Aaya Tyohar is an idea that works possibly only for Maruti Suzuki. In a country that has numerous festivals and each festival celebrated with such fervor, no other car brand can own this idea as well. This to me is giving the festival a beautiful new dimension which both us as well as our client partners are equally excited about.”

Millennials, as well as the young adults of Generation Z, are often criticized…

Millennials, as well as the young adults of Generation Z, are often criticized for their excessive dependence on technology, and social-media inspired cultural trends. They are stereotypically presumed to be entitled, pretentious, lazy, and egoistic. However, painting such a conservative social picture of two entire generations is as detrimental as stating that all women should be housewives. Thankfully, the British Army has made it clear with a recent recruitment campaign that it stands against this over-generalized view of today’s youth. Your Army Needs You is a recruitment drive targeted at incorporating gamers and snowflakes into the British armed forces.

The campaign has been conceptualized by a London-based advertising agency called Karmarama and manifests itself in the form of short films, radio adverts, and posters. The storytelling ideology of the campaign revolves around themes like Stamina, Spirit, and Resilience. The material in the series talks about the unique abilities of different sections of the youth and leaves the targeted audience with a call-for-action. For instance, one video of the campaign pushes the idea that gamers of today have the stamina that the British Army needs. The other promotional content of the campaign makes its impact along the same lines.

We feel that this forward-thinking initiative of the British Army will provide many youngsters with a sense of purpose. The campaign’s heart lies in the creative delivery of its intended message. Consequently, it is bound to resonate with today’s youth!

India has more than 200 million active users on WhatsApp on a monthly…

India has more than 200 million active users on WhatsApp on a monthly basis. That’s huge! And yet we haven’t seen even one TVC from WhatsApp in India until now! Share Joy, Not Rumors is a brand first ever TVC and it is all about staying away from rumors that can fan the flames of racial hatred, community prejudice, bestowing trust on phony dealers or money-lenders and so on. We think it’s a smart step from WhatsApp in an era where misinformation (especially via social media and the internet) is a regular thing and rumors roam around like wildfire.

The agency behind this is Mumbai’s Taproot Dentsu and the filmmaker Shirsha Guha Thakurta. There are 3 sixty-second films. And all show different real-time scenarios where rumors are spreading via WhatsApp and it needs to stop. One can use WhatsApp features like blocking the spammers who send such fake news and also exit groups that encourage misinformation for no reason.

We think that WhatsApp is no more just an app but has become an everyday integral part of many people’s lives. It means it has the ability to influence one’s thinking and thinking can lead to action. And nothing influences or instigates acts of violence and fraudulence like rumors. So this TVC rightly informs everyone to stop falling prey to such scams and spams and avoid spreading them for good.

Most of the campaigns circled around the Christmas season advocate its importance for…

Most of the campaigns circled around the Christmas season advocate its importance for human beings all across the globe. But, not a lot of holiday-themed advertisements take the perception of dogs into account. Well, in a fitting display of creativity, Pedigree has dedicated its entire Christmas campaign to the holidays’ significance for dogs. The short film titled Pedigree Season of Good Dog takes viewers through a dog’s unique viewpoint on the Christmas season.

In the short film designed by Colenso BBDO, a humorous account on the holidays is presented by the Good Dog. The narrative begins many dinnertimes ago, with the arrival of Good Dog to a human family’s home on one Christmas night. The story spans across several holidays until the arrival of another dog dubbed as Awww. The comedic tale ends with the conclusion that the holiday season is not exclusive to a good dog, but a time of celebration for all good dogs.

We feel that this campaign makes judicious use of humour, and carries the brand’s core identity in a likeable fashion. It is definitely bound to be a holiday-themed campaign that will stand out in this season.

Welcome and behold! Here is another masterpiece, Chhat Pe Milte hai, a digital…

Welcome and behold! Here is another masterpiece, Chhat Pe Milte hai, a digital campaign from the house of Ambuja Cement that should, according to us, go down as a case study in the craft of advertising. If Khali’s TVC two years back took India by storm, thanks to its humorous rendition, the Chhat Pe Milte hai campaign is in a league of its own. So what’s special about it? Well, we are excited to say, almost everything!

This digital campaign aims to promote Ambuja Cement’s premium product ‘Ambuja Plus Roof Special’, which as the name suggests, is designed to add extra strength and longevity to a roof, one of the most vital parts of a house. The campaign highlights the importance of ‘roof’ or ‘chhat’ in Indian homes.

Instead of taking a run-of-the-mill approach to highlight the product, Ambuja Cement plays around nostalgia and stirs our fondest memories associated with the terrace in our homes. Yes, the same terrace which seems to have lost in the urban construction mayhem. When was the last time you went to the terrace in a high rise building in Mumbai, Delhi or any metro city, for that matter? Well, chances are slim given how rarely we do that! The campaign has been launched with a video in which the legendary Gulzaar Sahab narrates in his unique voice a sublime poetry written by him, which takes us through the heartwarming memories and the role a roof has in helping us create these memories. The video’s emotional appeal is heightened by the background score that will take over your mind and you won’t be able to stop humming it. In the video, we see children playing hide and seek, a couple flying kites, wedding function, a cricket match – almost everything you must have seen happening on terraces in Indian households. The film ends by inviting fans to share their special roof stories with Ambuja Cement and the best ones could become a part of their next campaign! How cool!

Our Take on this Campaign!

We believe Ambuja Cement and the agency Triton Communications have come together to deliver a brilliant campaign. Many things have fallen in their right place in this campaign. The brand gave a quintessential advertising product brief. The agency converted it into an extraordinary storytelling spectacle of 4 minutes, 20 seconds video. And it did not stop there. It went ahead and seamlessly blended the video to get ‘engagement’, the holy grail of marketing for brands these days.

Wow is the only word we can think of as we go back to watch the ad again.
We can’t say more. Go ahead, see it for yourself. Watch. Replay. Repeat. Yes, it’s that good.
