I Want AI to Take My Job by UNICEF takes the fear of…

I Want AI to Take My Job by UNICEF takes the fear of artificial intelligence replacing workers and turns it toward a crisis that should not need a new technology debate to be seen: child labour.

The print campaign uses a line that feels wrong the moment you read it: “I WANT AI TO TAKE MY JOB.” The words appear in child labour environments such as workshops, factories, construction sites, and homes. In each execution, children are shown working instead of learning, playing, resting, and growing up safely.

The idea is not about AI as a saviour. It is about the kind of work no child should be doing at all.

When AI Fear Becomes a Child’s Hope

Most conversations around AI and employment are built around adult anxiety. People worry about careers, income, relevance, and replacement. I Want AI to Take My Job shifts the speaker completely.

Here, the person asking to be replaced is a child.
That change gives the campaign its force. For adults, the idea of losing a job to a machine can feel threatening. For a child trapped in labour, losing that job could mean returning to school, safety, and childhood. The campaign uses that contradiction without overexplaining it.

The supporting lines, including “So I can go to school” and “So I can be a child,” make the message clear. The closing line, “Some jobs should disappear. Not childhood,” gives the work a simple final punch without turning it into a lecture.

A Print Campaign Built on One Sharp Reversal

I Want AI to Take My Job works because it does not try to look futuristic. There are no shiny robots, no digital spectacle, no exaggerated technology language. The setting is grounded in places where child labour happens: physical, ordinary, and uncomfortable.

That makes the campaign feel more immediate. It uses AI only as the entry point. The real subject is not automation. It is the loss of childhood.

The line also has strong editorial tension. It takes a sentence people expect to hear from adults and places it in the mouth of a child. That switch forces the viewer to pause. The campaign does not ask people to feel sorry in a broad, vague way. It makes them face the absurdity of a world where a child could want a machine to take over their work because that work should never have been theirs.

The Human Cost Behind the Idea

The issue behind the campaign remains urgent. According to UNICEF and ILO estimates released in 2025, nearly 138 million children were engaged in child labour in 2024, including around 54 million in hazardous work likely to affect their health, safety, or development.

Those numbers give the campaign a harder edge. AI job loss is often discussed as a possible future. Child labour is already happening. The campaign uses a current cultural fear to redirect attention to a crisis that continues across industries, homes, and informal work settings.

Why the Idea Lands

The best part of this campaign is its restraint. It does not try to solve child labour inside one ad. It does not claim AI will fix the problem. It simply uses a familiar fear to reveal a deeper injustice.

For UNICEF, the print format suits the thought. A single image, a direct headline, and a short follow-up line are enough. The campaign does not need a long explanation because the reversal is already clear.

I Want AI to Take My Job is a strong example of social impact advertising using the language of the moment without becoming trapped by the trend. It is not really a campaign about artificial intelligence. It is a campaign about children being forced into roles they should never have had.

In the lead-up to Brazil’s presidential elections, UNICEF – the United Nations International…

In the lead-up to Brazil’s presidential elections, UNICEF – the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund – has erected monuments in three major cities to highlight the importance of education and address the issue of school dropouts. The Monument to Education campaign aims to draw attention to the urgent need to prioritize education during the voting process. This initiative is just one of many undertaken by UNICEF, which has been advocating for the rights of vulnerable children and adolescents for 72 years, working in partnership with governments, businesses, and social organizations.

In Brazil, there are currently an estimated two million children who are not enrolled in school, but the issue was not receiving much attention just months before the presidential election. To bring attention to this pressing issue, UNICEF unveiled a monument featuring a teacher and her students in a classroom, seemingly paying homage to the importance of education. However, a few days later, the statues of the students went missing, revealing what typically happens in many schools.

This incident garnered media attention and placed the issue of children dropping out of school in the headlines. Eventually, the statues were discovered again, but this time placed in hazardous locations with each statue representing one of the many reasons why children drop out of school. For example, one statue was shown selling sweets, while another held a baby. Accompanying each statue was a sign explaining what had occurred and urging people to vote for education and put pressure on political candidates to prioritize the issue.

This campaign highlights the severity of the issue of children dropping out of school in Brazil and the need for greater attention and action to be taken to address it. By raising awareness and urging political action, UNICEF hopes to improve the lives of millions of Brazilian children and ensure they have access to the education they deserve.

Worldwide, three out of four children experience physical or psychological violence. And yet, in our society, violence in parenting is still often overlooked, tolerated or perceived as inevitable.

#ENDviolence makes visible what is invisible primarily: the effect violence has on the inner soul of children. We are telling the story of three children’s different experiences of violence and show how this violence leaves its marks.

A taboo has become a topic in social media.
We launched the campaign with the support of high-reach influencers. They not only encouraged people to share the film – but they also produced content themselves, taking on the perspectives of the victims and thus urging them to take action against violence.

UNAIDS presents The Mirror, a campaign on International Day for Transgender Visibility to…

UNAIDS presents The Mirror, a campaign on International Day for Transgender Visibility to break down gender diversity taboos among children and raise awareness about their rights. All children deserve an equal opportunity to grow up in a safe and loving environment. Statistics show that transgender teenagers are much more likely to attempt suicide than teenagers whose identities match what is written on their birth certificates. In addition, transgender people face discrimination and, in certain countries, can be arrested. And transgender women have some of the highest rates of HIV, up to 40% in some cases. The film portrays a shy young boy smiling while wearing a woman’s scarf as he sees his reflection in a mirror. The movie captures the pivotal moment of self-recognition.

Diversity In Disaster Preparation The nation of Japan occupies a mere 0.28% of…

Diversity In Disaster Preparation
The nation of Japan occupies a mere 0.28% of the globe’s total land area, yet suffers from 20.5% of the world’s earthquakes of magnitude 6 or greater, along with 7% of the world’s active volcanoes.

And yet despite its status as a disaster-prone nation, its people have low awareness of disaster preparedness, with surveys showing that 2/3 of the population can say they are not adequately prepared for disasters.

In particular, those who have never experienced disasters find it difficult to imagine what specifically their circumstances would be like. We saw that this led to low levels of disaster preparedness, and wanted to let everyone know the preparations required for each person in evacuation shelters.

To get across the idea that every individual’s post-disaster needs are unique depending on their characteristics and living environments, we incorporated individual experiences as well as the media, celebrities, government and other public organizations in our message to generate greater awareness among the public. We set up a website that everyone could access, a hands-on event with illustrated cards depicting emergency kit items, and a special elementary school lesson to promote early awareness and understanding. And to symbolize the diversity involved in disaster preparations, we had opinion leaders in celebrity, media, and government promote the project to the population to gain wider reach across social media.

Immediately after an earthquake or other disaster, media coverage and interest among the government, corporations and populace focus on the afflicted area. But few take into consideration the diverse characteristics and living environments of people forced to evacuate. It is a little-known fact that many people in post-disaster shelters suffer from declining health, or even lose their lives. For this reason, we wanted to make it easier for people who have never experienced a disaster to immediately take action by clearly presenting the kinds of emergency kit items that people would need for themselves and their living environments.

The launch of the project was timed to the week before the anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami when reporting and awareness about disasters and disaster preparedness are highest in Japan. Our approach was to present a new concept that emergency kits are unique for diverse types of people. We communicated this through a website and hands-on events with illustrated cards that show how different kinds of people should prepare for disasters. These were covered in numerous online articles and TV reports. Participants posted positive comments about the project on social media. This widespread recognition contributed to greater awareness about disaster preparations. Celebrities, government agencies, international NGOs and others saluted our new concept and began promoting it on their own.

The project received widespread media coverage, along with support from Japan’s Cabinet Office, the United Nations Information Centre, UNICEF, and other government and international non-governmental organizations. The Japanese government has begun studying ways to use this project to promote awareness among the public. Participants posted many positive comments about it on social media, and the public started packing their emergency kits with consideration for themselves and those around them.

In the wake of COVID-19, the naked face of humanity has come into…

In the wake of COVID-19, the naked face of humanity has come into the light. On the one hand, tales of compassion and empathy have surfaced in unprecedented numbers. However, the other side of the coin presents a much darker picture. Meaningly, we’re also witnessing the inhumane consequences of our primal protective instincts. This is especially true in the case of the treatment that migrant workers are receiving across the globe. The situation in Nepal is no different. Unfairly so, returnee migrant workers have become the subject of stigmatization and discrimination. To mitigate such evils, Unilever released a digital ad in partnership with UNICEF. More precisely, the two joined hands to give birth to #HamroNamaste.

At its core, the campaign is a plea to remove all prejudice against returnee migrant workers. Instead, the campaign advocates for welcoming them with joined palms. Moreover, Nepali film actor, Rajesh Hamal, is the face of this initiative. He brings his theatrical chops to the screen and delivers the campaign’s message in the form of a poem.

To put it neatly, we echo the sentiment expressed in #HamroNamaste. After all, now is the time to promote humanity!

There are 2.8M out-of-school Filipino children. Last August 20, Unilever launched SHOP2GIVE #AddDreamsToCart:…

There are 2.8M out-of-school Filipino children. Last August 20, Unilever launched SHOP2GIVE #AddDreamsToCart: A 24-hour E-commerce campaign where a portion of every purchase of a Unilever product goes to UNICEF to bring back some of them to school.

In this campaign, the logos of 36 Unilever products and all its SKUs were hand-drawn, and their names changed to names of kids: “Ponds” became “Pam,” “Dove” became “Diane,” “Sunsilk” became “Sunshine,” even “St. Ives” turned to “Yvette.” The agency convinced Unilever to allow these logo violations to happen so the children Filipinos could help through the campaign could be personified, making shoppers buy into the cause and purchase the products.

Drawings of these products with kid-name logos were splashed across all of the Unilever brands’ social assets, the E-commerce site, Manila’s billboards, and other collaterals in the lead-up to the event, and the actual day of SHOP2GIVE itself.

Over 50 million kids migrate from around the world as immigrants and refugees.…

Over 50 million kids migrate from around the world as immigrants and refugees. Some migrate in search of a better life while some are forced to leave their homes in order to escape life-threatening situations like war, persecution, hostility, ill-treatment, conflict, and natural disaster. Unfortunately, many feel lonely and unwelcomed in their new homelands. UNICEF, in its What Excites Us Unites Us Campaign, reminds the world that it doesn’t matter where they come from, a kid is a kid and each one of them needs to be loved, looked after and motivated; rather than be alienated on the grounds of foolish reasons like ethnicity, race, caste, religion or anything else. We all are humans, and humans are supposed to look after each other. Period. And what better way than to use football that goes beyond all borders as a means to bring these kids from across the borders, together. UNICEF has scored the #LongestGoal with this one!

UNICEF, through their ‘What Excites Us Unite’s Us campaign also invites the world to team up with the refugee kids and migrant kids as they express their love for football by accepting the #LongestGoal challenge. What’s more? Your GOAL has a chance of being broadcast during World Cup, LIVE on billboards that will stream across the world!

UNICEF wants to break barriers to love through football, a game that brings people irrespective of their individualistic attributes or privilege together as fans, players, prodigies, or fanatics. UNICEF brings the celebrations on the ground to your screen where you can cheer and support the same seven flag colours. All you need to do is, shout goooooaaaaallll with #LongestGoal. The longer you shout, the longer your Snapchat lens and its amazing 7-colour animations will last. The more effort you put into it, the louder is the effect of the soundtrack and animations. When you’re out of breath just share your #LongestGoal with your friends and keep playing!

UNICEF’s main income source comes from donations. But nowadays it’s getting harder to engage with Portuguese people and get them involved. This is, in part, due to the fact that most of UNICEF’s intervention is so far away from our homes and our realities. It seems that we’re desensitized and sceptic: the harsh reality of children around the world doesn’t chock us and we question the difference we can actually make with our individual contribution. On the other hand, it’s easy to get caught up in futile matters that entertain our minds. This campaign comes as a wakeup call in disguise. What looks at first glance an ad for a watch, a smartphone or a bag, quickly becomes a very effective way to visualize the impact we can make in children’s lives. It shows that you can actually make a difference with a fraction of your vanities.

In the latest heartwarming advertising campaign by UNICEF, the problems of kids in…

In the latest heartwarming advertising campaign by UNICEF, the problems of kids in Syria which will only increase due to winters is highlighted. The advertisement agency Saatchi and Saatchi have creatively shown that little kids have to make hard choices being in that situation.

It is not unknown that Syrian war has led many people stranded and children homeless. The winters are only aggravating this problem. Therefore the advertising agency called Saatchi and Saatchi, London, the UK has done a tremendous job in showing how a simple gesture of donating blankets could bring a big change in children’s lives in Syria.

Following are some of the things that are inherent in the UNICEF UK ad campaign
• Children are in Syria are living in the most vulnerable situation.
• Freezing weather is aggravating the problem.
• A little donation this Christmas could bring about a big change
The subtlety with which they have implied that people must donate blankets to spread warmth is a clear sign of creative advertising ideas implemented by Saatchi and Saatchi for UNICEF UK. The advertising campaign is successful in both showing the current situation in Syria and generating empathy amongst people in the other parts so that they can actively contribute towards it.
