Bajaj V - The Rebirth of INS Vikrant Campaigns of the World®

Before bikes and motorcycles dominated the Indian roads, there was a decade or two when Bajaj scooters ruled the streets making the brand synonymous with the aspirations and choices of an average middle class Indian. While Bajaj has stopped manufacturing its legendary scooters, and has evolved itself in sync with the changing wheels of time, its roots are still Indian and as a brand it makes sure it brings the Indian flavour in everything it does. And that is what it has done with its upcoming bike – Bajaj V. Made from the metals of India’s legendary aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant, Bajaj V is a tribute to the fighting spirit of the iconic carrier that gave India an edge over its enemies, starting from the Indo-Pak war of 1971 to decades after that! The ship was declared nonoperational in 2014 and was asked to be reduced to scraps after decades and decades of relentless service.

This product teaser video starts with a crisp background information about INS Vikrant and its role in India’s defence system. Backed by A.R Rehman’s melodious background score (Maa Tujhe Saalam), it is surely going to ignite the patriot in you. The INS Vikrant emblem on the bike, similar to legendary bikes like Harley Davidson or Royal Enfield surely gives it a look that will surely lure bikers and adventure lovers. The video ends with a silhouette of the bike as the launch is scheduled to happen on 1st February, 2016, just a day after this post is done. As a brand, Bajaj has really captured a space that takes forward its age old proposition of ‘hamara bajaj’ and makes all Indians feel as one nation. Only time will tell if the product is the winner or not but the brand clearly has won the hearts of billions of Indians! Hamara Bajaj, it is, for sure.
