Dove Men+Care #DearFutureDads

Dove Men+Care is supporting better paternity leave worldwide – as part of its far-reaching, paid family leave program. We think that through this campaign, it wants to inform the #DearFutureDads of the world of the importance of being there during the crucial first few weeks of the newborn as it is that time when the babies have the first significant moments of interaction with their parents. Being around helps parents bond better with their babies and experience bliss.

Facts show that less than 1 in 5 men in the U.S. are granted paid paternity leave. And those who do get it don’t think they can take time out from their careers to raise their newborns. However, there’s a lot of great bonding that happens in those first couple of weeks and months. When the baby comes out, it is necessary for that baby to get to know both her parents and it is necessary for parents to take time out. There’s nothing more endearing and satisfying for parents than being there when those little hands make their first movements and hold their fingers firmly and when those little eyes stare into the souls of their parents. Oh! It’s divine!
