A couple of years ago, a couple of guests discovered Sweet Dixie Kitchen, a trendy brunch spot in Long Beach, CA, was serving Popeyes chicken and presenting it as their own. Owner, Kim Sanchez, was spotted walking through the front door with Popeyes bags and it went viral. People freaked out, and the backlash on social media sparked what was aptly named #POPEYESGATE.

Today, we decided to acknowledge their admiration and invited them to pre-release our biggest product launch in the past 30 years: The Popeyes Chicken Sandwich. Available at Sweet Dixie Kitchen August 8th and 9th only. Available at Popeyes restaurants nationwide August 12th.
