Would you like to lead a network of more than 336 million users? Twitter is looking for you!
The weekend is approaching and before you make plans for the booze party with your advertising colleagues and start thinking of a new happening place, you might want to pay attention to this opportunity that may turn into a bigger reason for a bigger party! Well, the news is that Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass and Biz Stone’s Twitter is looking through the biggest binoculars (and are keen and willing to get that person on-board from wherever!) for a new and inspiring Executive Creative Director.
So, do you think you are the creative leader who can champion Twitter’s essence, voice and feel and work with their team to promote the same? If yes then you are game!
We believe Twitter might be a good opportunity for you if you are looking to switch to the client side from the agency side especially if you feel kind of burned out in that part of the world. Also, if you have faith in the social media giant’s capability to make the social world a better place (and more humane) then this might rather be a great opportunity for you in a long time.
Twitter, the San Francisco-based company was established back in 2006 (when things were so simple yet so beautiful!) announced this through a job listing of Executive Creative Director for its Creative #Studio.
What will you have to do?
As per the job listing for the position of executive creative director for #Studio, it is looking for someone who could champion Twitter’s essence, voice and feel and work with their team to promote and creatively expand on the same. Twitter believes in making communication both, personalized and customized at the same time. So, the upcoming ECD will (in addition to promoting their basic service) also be significantly involved in strategizing of new products and all their key brand solutions.
Going by what a spokesperson of Twitter commented, this position of ECD will be the same position that Jayanta Jenkins formerly held. He is now HP’s global ECD. Jenkin, in an interview, described his experience at Twitter, “It was the best opportunity in advertising that I’ve ever had. I put my time in, and I’ve got the work to show for it.”
What else?
If you get this one, you will also get to work with Twitter’s agency partners – GS&P, TBWA, Heat.
And if you have a look at the latest roll-out (in terms of work) from Creative #Studio, you will not miss noticing that Twitter would like to be consistent in the way it has been pitching to agencies and brands alike. Meaning it will continue to showcase Twitter as the place that enables conversations to flow without any hindrance and a platform that keeps its users directly and intimately engaged as compared to other social media channels whether it is about keeping them up to date with everything, keeping their insecurities at bay, or connecting individuals to their niches.
All in all, we think that this would certainly not be your usual advertising gig.
