The world generates 4.7 million tonnes of garbage on a daily basis. India contributes 1.4 lac tons to the number mentioned above. However, the garbage generated by our country doesn’t just come from dustbins and areas sanctioned for waste disposal. It also comes from the streets as littering is a huge social problem in our nation. The nationwide Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has catalyzed a new wave of change that aims to make India a clean nation. In the spirit of the Swachh Bharat initiative, Hyundai has recently come up with an initiative on its own. The automobile manufacturer announced that all its cars will be fitted with a portable bin called the Swacch Can.

The video advertisement for the newest addition to Hyundai’s series of innovation portrays instances of people littering here and there in their day-to-lives. A voiceover details on the garbage disposal crisis, and how it can affect future generations. A brief overview of the Swachh Can is also provided, and viewers are given a sneak peek of how the portable bin will work in real-time.

We feel that the installation of Swachh Cans in Hyundai cars is a great CSR initiative, and will help make India a cleaner country in the coming future.
